Issues
As State Representative, my priorities are supporting working families, investing in our future, and co-creating a healthier, safer, stronger, more resilient community. Together, we can advocate for good-paying union jobs and expand access to healthcare, mental health resources, and childcare. I will support affordable housing initiatives. I believe in investing in our kids, teachers, and public schools. I will prioritize combating climate change and protecting our environment. I will fight for workers, social justice, reproductive rights, civil rights, racial equity, and LGBTQIA+ rights.

Environment and Climate Change

Protecting the environment and fighting climate change is my top issue. I believe that we must do everything we can to protect and preserve Wisconsin's natural beauty. We must invest in our incredible parks and recreational areas. I promise to fight for clean air, clean land, and clean water for all people. We must accelerate our transition to 100% clean energy and promote good paying green union jobs for a sustainable infrastructure and a green economy.

Clean drinking water is also a top conservation issue community members care about. Lead contamination in addition to sediment, toxins, and heavy metals have threatened the safety of our drinking water. I believe that the legislature needs to provide local communities like West Allis with the resources they need to fix our water supply and modernize our infrastructure.
Investing in Public Education

We must invest in our kids, teachers, and public schools. Our kids are our future, and I believe in investing in public education to give them the best opportunities possible. Our kids deserve high quality education, so they can live and thrive in Wisconsin.
I will fight to increase funding to our public education system so that finally it has the proper resources to serve students of all abilities: specialized training for educators, enhancement of special education programming, and providing current technology and infrastructure. I will also fight for policies that will reduce class sizes and ensure there are adequate supports within schools to support all students by establishing mental health services. If we truly prioritize these initiatives, then we can build an education system that is truly inclusive in nature and serves to foster the success of every student.
Expanding Healthcare Access

I will fight for Medicaid expansion in Wisconsin. I believe that it has become far too difficult and unaffordable for our fellow Wisconsin citizens to access high quality healthcare. I plan to fight to make affordable, good healthcare a reality for everyone in our state because I believe healthcare is a human right. In my time in the Assembly, I will fight to expand access to healthcare. I’m not afraid to challenge Wisconsin pharmaceutical and healthcare monopolies head-on, and I will always advocate for Medicaid expansion to help working families.
Economy, Jobs, and Small Businesses

As the product of a union household, I know how important it is to have good paying jobs to provide for your family. In the Assembly, I will be a tireless advocate for working families and will fight for more good paying union jobs in our community. I will also prioritize supporting small businesses. I believe small businesses are a big part of what makes West Allis and District 14 as a whole a vibrant community.
Labor Unions and Workers

The attacks on workers are atrocious, and I believe in restoring union rights for the people. I am strongly against Right to Work Laws, which have been detrimental to the wellbeing of workers here in Wisconsin and across the country. Workers, and unions, should be free to organize, and Right to Work Laws are designed to create barriers to that collective organizing. I will always be a vocal advocate for repealing Wisconsin’s Right to Work Law.

In addition, I support repealing Act 10. Act 10 is horrible for workers and for Wisconsin as a whole, so I will do everything we can to repeal Act 10. I believe in giving power back to the people and restoring all collective bargaining rights. Repealing Act 10 is an important step in achieving economic justice and equity in Wisconsin.

Increasing Minimum Wage

I am a strong advocate for increasing the minimum wage to a living wage. $15 per hour is a good start, but I believe we have to go beyond $15 to make sure wages can support families and keep up with inflation and cost of living.

I strongly support increasing the state minimum tipped wage. Restaurant workers and other people who earn a living through tips deserve a living tipped wage. Employers must ensure their workers have the wages they need to provide for themselves and their families.
Reproductive Rights

I will dedicate my time in the Assembly to fighting and protecting reproductive rights. Republicans and conservatives are trying to take away rights away from people across Wisconsin. I believe abortion rights are human rights. I strongly believe in a person's right to choose. I will advocate for bodily autonomy, and I will advocate for the expansion of reproductive healthcare and reproductive freedom.

Affordable Housing

There is a lack of affordable housing in our communities which hurts working families and communities of color. I believe housing is a human right. I support policies that encourage more affordable housing development, including incentives and public investment in building more housing. I believe in investing in high density, multifamily housing which would help with lowering housing costs. In addition, I believe that tenant rights need be strengthened in Wisconsin. I also believe in measures for fair renting. I also support down payment assistance and the creation of alternative mortgage choices that make it easier for families to buy their first home. This would give people more financial stability and economic security.

Democracy and Voting Rights
Voting is a fundamental right that is at the core of our democracy. We must protect and expand voting rights. We must have a healthy democracy in order to move forward on all of the issues we care about. A healthy democracy is necessary to protect reproductive rights, to end gun violence, to combat climate change, and to fight for economic security.
We must make voting easier and more accessible for everyone in the state. I believe Wisconsin can do more to make our elections more accessible by implementing automatic voter registration, eliminating the need for voter IDs, increasing access to absentee voting, allowing and encouraging ballot dropboxes, and increasing the number of days for early voting.
Gun Safety Laws and Violence Prevention
I believe that we need to implement common sense gun safety laws in order to make our community safer and healthier. Gun violence is a public health crisis, and we need to do everything we can to prevent gun violence. People should not fear for their life anywhere, whether that is in schools, places of worship, theaters, or political rallies. I believe in universal background checks, banning assault weapons, waiting periods for firearm purchases, and other common sense measures to make our community safer.
